When people come to Mumbai first thing that comes to their mind is Bollywood. Of course that is not only the one thing that makes it a place of attraction. Like every place Mumbai has its own places of attraction. But there are some things about Mumbai which is not known to the majority of the people.

Dharavi Slums: One of the biggest slums in Asia, Dharavi breaks all generalizations of a ghetto and is a long way from being natural surroundings for the devastated and underprivileged. This slum generates more than 500 million dollars, next time you won’t see it as a slum.

Mahalaxmi Dhobi Ghat: This is a place where the whole city’s grimy clothing gets carefully hand-washed by persevering dhobis or laundrymen. Seeing apparently unlimited columns of solid troughs fitted with stones where the garments are washed makes this one of the peculiar spots to visit in Mumbai.

Powai Lake: Powai Lake is known as the artificial lake situated in the Powai valley in the northern suburb of Mumbai which was named after Framaji Kavasji Powai Estate. This lake is among the delightful places in the city of Mumbai which you can’t leave behind an awesome open door for your visit to this city. It is located on the Salsette Island, by the Powai town; Powai Lake is a calm and moderating spot to acknowledge.

Walk of Stars: You probably heard of Hollywood Walk of Fame. As Mumbai is known as the city of dreams, there is one place where the Bollywood stars are respected in the same manner as the Hollywood Walk of Fame. So, when you are going by this hot goal doesn’t miss your opportunity to investigate the Walk of Stars. Indian silver screen’s Walk of Stars’ has been legitimately opened, in the Bandra zone of Mumbai.

Sanjay Gandhi national Park: You might have heard about it. But you didn’t know was that it has over 2000 years old Buddhist caves. It is one of the few places in the world where you can see real ancient carvings. It is also known as the world’s largest park within the city area.

The Library of Asiatic Society of Mumbai: This Library is just like other but what makes this library on this list is because of something unique it holds. According the library it holds one of the original manuscript of Divine Comedy written by Dante Alighieri as same Dante from Dante’s Inferno mostly know to the people in that context. But according to Italian Dante Society there is no original manuscript survived.

Khotachiwadi Village: This is an 18th century village when Mumbai formerly know as Bombay wasn’t even a city. This village includes the Portuguese style bungalows which house people from different cultures and religions.

Chinese Temple: Chinese Temple in Mazgaon is considered one of the landmarks in Mumbai because it is the only one left Mumbai. It is an old shrine which is dedicated to Kwan Tai Kwon.

Japanese Temple: In the midst of the hectic roads of Worli Naka stands a quiet sanctuary ‘Nipponzan Myohoji’ – a Japanese Buddhist Monastery established by Nichidatsu Fujii Guruji, the principal devotee to satisfy this Prophetic vision of Nichiren Diashonin as the best way to reimburse limitless obligation of appreciation to the Buddha in his unique place where there is dharma.

Hanging Garden: Hanging Gardens is an outstanding vacationer objective masterminded in Mumbai. This terraced plant was worked in 1880 and later updated in 1921. This prominent garden arranged on the Malabar Hills is known for its astonishing green vegetation and creature formed wall, which is a charming sight for any individual who visits this spot.
